This international diploma equips dentists with advanced knowledge and hands-on expertise in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics through a structured balance of online learning, intensive hands-on training, and clinical case discussions.

Program Structure

First 3 Months – Online interactive lessons every 30 days (Monthly) with textbook-based assignments

  • Lesson 1: Diagnosis and Treatment Planning

  • Lesson 2: Cephalometrics and Bonding Procedures

  • Lesson 3: Wire Sequences, Bracket Types, Prescriptions and Clinical Application

 

Next 3 Months – Online interactive lessons every 14 days (Fortnightly)

  • Lesson 4: Growth and Development of Occlusion; Beauty & Proportions

  • Lesson 5: Malocclusion – Aetiology, Diagnosis & Planning

  • Lesson 6: Space-Gaining Methods; Class I Malocclusion Management

  • Lesson 7: Class II and III Malocclusion Management; Camouflage Techniques

  • Lesson 8: TMJ, Muscles, Tonsils, Adenoid, Airway Considerations

  • Lesson 9: Finishing and Detailing – Elastics, Occlusion, Debonding

 

After ~6 Months from the Start Date – 5-Day Intensive Hands-on Block

(Venue of Choice: Kerala, Sri Lanka, Bangkok, Dubai, Ethiopia, London)

  • Orthodontic instruments & applications

  • Cephalometrics & software analysis

  • Bonding demonstrations & materials

  • Bracket placement on typodonts

  • Wire sequence training & bending exercises

  • Self-ligating brackets – clinical exercises

  • Tooth movement mechanics & forces (linear, intrusive, extrusive, rotations; how much force is enough)

  • Anchorage – intraoral, extraoral, and mini-screws (TADs)

  • Functional appliances & fixed mechanotherapy

  • Extraction vs non-extraction approaches; Invisalign & aligner strategies

  • Advanced loop systems (MBT, T-loops, Teardrop, Omega)

  • Relapse & retention challenges

  • Skeletal modifications with functional appliances

  • Appliance selection criteria & follow-up

  • Airway management in orthodontics

  • Sagittal, vertical & transverse discrepancies (adolescents vs adults)

  • Adult orthodontics in pre-prosthetic rehabilitation

  • Lingual orthodontics – concepts & applications

  • Clear aligners – applications & limitations

  • Diverse mechanics & treatment strategies

  • Elastics (open coil, closed coil, springs, e-chains)

  • Lesson 11: Space Closure Mechanics; Class I Case Management

  • Lesson 12: Cleft Lip & Palate Management; Root Resorption

  • Lesson 13: Overjet Reduction; Class II Management; Adult Orthodontics

  • Lesson 14: Finishing and Detailing Techniques

  • Lesson 15: Class III Malocclusion Management

  • Lesson 16: Sectional Orthodontics; Surgical Orthodontics & Adult-Ortho Integration

  • Lesson 17: Clinical Case Discussions – introduction of alternate-week guided sessions

 

Next 3 Months – Online interactive lessons every week

  • Lesson 18: Growth and Development Vectors; Interceptive Procedures

  • Lesson 19: Airway Management; Appliance Selection Parameters

  • Lesson 20: Sagittal, Vertical & Transverse Discrepancies; Relapse & Retention

  • Lesson 21: Adult Orthodontics in Pre-Prosthetic Rehabilitation; Lingual Orthodontics

 

Clinical Case Discussions

  • Begin after 5-Day Intensive Hands-on Block and continue in alternate-week format.

  • Designed to ensure clinical application and integration of principles.

The fees ​

  • With  onsite  hands-on sessions with Typodonts Materials Fee: £2790 ( +2.5% payment gateway charges) (+VAT for UK applicants)  

  • To secure your place, an initial non-refundable deposit payment of £390, which in turn will be a part of the fees

  • Monthly Instalment: 10 months x £240 ( +2.5% payment gateway charges)

  • 10% discount for payment in full
